Portuguese (Brazil) is scheduled for removal or might get merged with Portuguese

I believe Portuguese can cater both dialects by using a neutral language. Currently seeking feedback. Head over this thread to voice your concerns. If I have no feedback, I'll remove the Brazilian variant and just let the normal Portuguese live in Q2 2024.

Extra languages add a maintenance burden and increase the bundle size of the client for all users, regardless of the language they will use, so all reductions we can make in this area are not to be taken lightly.

If your language is not listed below, you'll have to send a request to the administrators to add it. You can do so:

  • In this thread

  • By requesting it through Weblate's form (I might ask for additional feedback, like above)

    There are also some considerations and concerns in the linked thread that are taken into account when adding languages.

    Thank you very much for your help and interest in bringing Jellyfin Vue closer to others!

  • Empty translations are useless: They add a maintenance burden and increase the bundle size of the client for all users, regardless of the language they will use.

    Additional context

  • This language has been empty since 06/11/2023.

  • It will be removed in Q1 2024. This is not permanent and it can be reincorporated if there's a future interest by the community to keep this language alive.

  • If you speak Greek, please help us get some strings translated before the due date to unschedule it from removal
